Hit rates, not picks

Bettorly is an analytics tool, not a sportsbook. Bettorly News never tells you what to bet. We report historical frequencies — how often something has happened — not predictions, locks, or guarantees. Betting coverage on Bettorly News is picks-free: no "best bets," no "locks," no "guaranteed" plays. (Fantasy coverage may include a start/sit recommendation, since a roster call is not a wager.)

The data-angle rule

Every story that cites a stat carries a "What the data says" callout, and that callout links only to a durable, dated surface — the frozen game archive or a market hub — never to a player or prop page, which can disappear the moment a sportsbook pulls the line. Every callout is labeled "as of" the date the number was pulled, and we never invent a number. Every build refuses a story whose data link isn’t a durable, dated page.

Corrections policy

When we get something wrong, we fix it. A correction updates the article's "Updated" date, shown alongside its original publish date in the byline, and (for a substantive change) a short note in the story itself describing what changed. We don't quietly edit a published story to erase a mistake.
